Type 4 Volunteer Standards

Volunteers who meet Type 4 requirements may, at their sole discretion, volunteer for events and incidents inside and outside the Daisy Mountain Fire District.

CERT Training - G-317 

Prerequisite: None

Renewal Requirement:  Every 5 years complete IS-317.A: Introduction to CERT

Proficiency: 70% minimum

  • Since this course is a standard 20-hour FEMA curriculum, if you completed the course through an authorized provider other than Daisy Mountain Fire Department, you may email your certificate to CitizenCorps@DMFD.org to demonstrate that this requirement has been fulfilled.

CPR, AED, FIRST AID CERTIFICATION 

Curriculum Requirements: Only nationally recognized curriculums are accepted. This includes; American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) presented by Daisy Mountain Fire Department , American Heart Association (AHA) and American Red Cross. Your choice of Basic or Healthcare curriculum are acceptable.

Prerequisite: None

Renewal Requirement: Valid for two years from date of completion on your card.

Proficiency: Satisfactory completion of this course requires students to vigorously demonstrate skills while working from a kneeling position on the floor, and complete a written test with a minimum score of 70%.
